Aptara, Inc. was acquired by iEnergizer Ltd. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Aptara will continue to operate as a standalone entity and retain the Aptara name. Sara Latham, chairman of the board for iEnergizer, and Anil Agarwal, its founder, will join Aptara's board of directors.

In a statement, Dev Ganesan, Aptara's CEO and president, said the investment "gives Aptara a wider and longer runway for expanding the scope and scale of [its] operations at a time when publishers are pursuing vendor consolidation." He added, "This merger deepens Aptara's stronghold in the digital and mobile content technology arena."

Aptara provides global digital media solutions and produces multichannel content. iEnergizer provides customer services, collections, technical support, market intelligence, and gaming support. Their call center and transactional processing operations will be available to Aptara customers.
