Announcing the Inaugural Stareable Fest

Jan 04, 2018

Stareable is dedicated to helping creators collaborate and get discovered as part of its mission to create a community around great web series. It’s helped thousands of independent filmmakers

hone their craft, meet their peers, and gain recognition through Stareable’s discovery platform, online forum, and in-person meetups. Now it’s bringing it all together and into the real world with Stareable Festa two-day celebration of excellence in independent television, focused on taking creators’ careers to the next level.

The Fest will take place July 20-22, 2018, in New York City, and is now accepting submissions for short and long form independent television content in comedy, drama, animation, unscripted/reality, and documentary categories. Awards will be given out for best in show as well as excellence in writing, acting, editing, cinematography, directing, and innovative new media (interactive/transmedia) elements.

Additionally, creators can also submit a 90 second pitch video for an opportunity to present their show concept live to a panel of judges composed of industry executives.

Stareable Fest will also offer a full weekend of events including screenings of outstanding digital and indie TV, classes and panels about how to work more effectively, networking events dedicated to finding new collaborators, and strategic access to industry looking to discover the next great voice.
