SafeWeb, Inc. announced that American AgCredit, ACA has deployed SafeWeb's Secure Extranet Appliance (SEA Tsunami) to provide it's remote users access to selected internal network resources. American AgCredit is a member-owned cooperative, which provides credit and credit related services to eligible borrowers and stockholders for qualified agricultural purposes throughout the United States. SafeWeb's SSL-VPN enables American AgCredit to grant external regulators and auditors secure access to corporate financial data from non-corporate locations, using any Web browser. Internally the SEA Tsunami enables American AgCredit to secure employee access to network applications such as email, Intranet, data portals, and a Citrix Server Farm. SafeWeb's SEA Tsunami is browser-based VPN appliance that uses SSL encryption embedded in the standard Web browser to secure communications between the remote user and the local network. Use of this technology eliminates the need for additional software installation on remote machines, simplifying the implementation, management, and operation process.
