AddThis announced an online marketplace featuring tools that enable online publishers to serve more targeted and relevant content to website visitors. The company has also expanded its offerings of recommended content and enhanced its analytics dashboard.
Within the marketplace, customers will find the AddThis Tools Gallery of free and subscription-based "Pro" widgets designed to drive content engagement and personalization. This includes widgets for sharing, following, and recommending content based on behavioral data. AddThis says Pro widgets include content recommendations that can drive click-through rates more than fifty percent higher compared to AddThis' basic trending content recommendation tools.
Additionally, AddThis plans to open the marketplace to select third-party app and widget developers by the end of 2014. New customers, and those using previous versions of AddThis tools, can update and apply the new free or subscription based widgets directly from the Tools Gallery without having to change any underlying code.
