About.com announced it would provide content from its Twitter feed, homepage, and select content categories over Flipboard, the social magazine app designed specifically for iPad. Flipboard aggregates content from social networks and other publishers; the agreement with About.com represents the first time a website has signed on to present Flipboard with hundreds of lifestyle articles, according to paidContent.
The magazine-style interface will deliver content from the About.com categories of Health, Travel, Style, Parenting, Food, and Home & Garden. Editors will also select content for Flipboard's Living and Travel sections. The About.com content is available via Flipboard Pages, an HTML5-based framework that automatically converts web content into full-page formats.
The personalized magazine app, Flipboard, is now available for Android phone users, according to ReadWriteWeb.com. Previously, this popular app was only available to iPhone and iPad users but has finally been ported for Android by a developer at XDA Forums.
