As of July 1, AOL has discontinued its InfoGate services including paid subscription newsfeeds from CNN and USA Today. Infogate is the company that powers the subscription push-style streamed content from sources including the LATimes, CNN, and USAToday. AOL has begun running beta tests of a new push-service to subscribers. Members of AOL can sign up for the trial at AOL keyword ACBeta. AOL quietly purchased InfoGate (formerly Pointcast) back in March. It has been reported that most of the staff did not make the transition to AOL, but Paul Love and approximately 20 staff members on the technology side have remained on-board.
