BEST PRACTICES SERIES

AGAMBS, an independent EMC Documentum consultancy, has introduced a new virtualization service designed to enable organizations operating large document repositories to replicate multi-server applications in a single virtual environment. AGAMBS uses virtualization to replace or integrate with existing multiple application servers and create a dynamic IT infrastructure. Hardware resources are aggregated into logical resource pools and optimally allocated to applications running in virtual machines. In this virtual environment, resources can be dynamically assigned or reassigned to individual workloads without impacting end user services. Virtualization allows multiple virtual machines, each with its own instance of virtual hardware and operating system, to run in isolation, side-by-side on the same physical machine.
