About.com Announces New Partnerships with Editorial Brands

About.com, an online source for original consumer advice and information, has announced agreements with editorial brands to provide select content across the health, auto, technology, and travel channels on the About.com network. Partnerships with A.D.A.M., Edmunds, Healthology, PC World, and Spa Finder Inc. are intended to supplement the original content generated and maintained by About.com's Guides and enhance the user experience through access to complimentary content. About.com's viewership will now have access to branded content from sources in the form of videos, Web casts, product reviews, comparative shopping tips, and other timely features.

A.D.A.M. is supplying the About.com Health channel with physician-reviewed content including the A.D.A.M. Health Illustrated Encyclopedia, In-Depth Reports, Care Guides, and step-by-step Surgeries and Procedures. Healthology will provide About.com with a physician-reviewed health library related to over sixty topics and conditions, such as allergies, asthma, cancer, diabetes, and nutrition, that includes thousands of video Web casts featuring medical authorities, physician-authored articles, and health features.

PC World adds news, reviews, how to's, and columns on everything from computer monitors and peripherals to digital cameras and MP3 players to About.com's Computing & Electronics channel.

Spa Finder adds spa and spa lifestyle information and advice to About.com's Travel/Spa, City and Health Channels. The new Spa Finder content includes: the Spa Guide, a special interest spa search engine; day, destination, resort, and medical spa overviews including special Connoisseur Spa listings; and "Best Buys" promotions. Visitors can also order Spa Finder Gift Certificates, which can be redeemed at thousands of spas nationwide, and subscribe to Luxury SpaFinder Magazine, a consumer spa publication.
