Name With The Face:
Online Marketing/SEO Analyst
As online marketing/SEO analyst for Sitecore, a web content management system software company, Ted Prodromou manages online ads and marketing campaigns all over the world. "I'm also responsible for the search engine optimization of Sitecore's corporate website and the microsites for each international region, and I play an integral role in Sitecore's social media strategy," Prodromou says.
Prodromou works with regional marketers to create local language search marketing campaigns for Sitecore products and events and has ongoing responsibility for measuring program success. "I get significant input from regional marketers to make sure cultural and language subtleties are incorporated into regional content," he says. And when that's all done, Prodromou says, "I'm a Sitecore blogger!"
In A Day's Work:
"I work directly with the regional marketers to create online campaigns, review results, and fine-tune campaigns," Prodromou says. He also collaborates with Sitecore's director of analytics to review web traffic data and design analytics reports. He says, "I also work closely with reseller partners to help with online advertising, search engine optimization, and social media."
Most Memorable Customer Encounter:
"I've been in customer service-related roles most of my career. Early on, I was a field service engineer and responded to a service call where a bank teller's terminal stopped working. I opened the terminal and noticed an orange substance melted everywhere. It was the day before Halloween, so I asked the teller if she had placed a pumpkin on top of her terminal. She denied it, but it was obvious that the pumpkin melted into her terminal. We all just laughed."
View From The Desk:
"We have a spectacular view of Mount Tamalpais in Marin County and a bird sanctuary from our office. It's like having a private zoo right outside my window."
"I love hiking with my black lab Lilah, biking, and going to the beach in the summer. My favorite outdoor winter activity is skiing at Lake Tahoe. I love
to cook, having grown up in the family restaurant business."
If Not Econtent, Then What?
"I would own a restaurant. My grandfather started a family-run restaurant back in the 1920s, and I worked in the kitchen starting at the age of 10. We made all the food from scratch-it was quite an experience. My grandparents are from Greece-food and family are in my blood!"
