Job Title: Digital Marketing Strategist

As a digital marketing strategist for gShift, an SaaS company that provides clients with analytical insights on their overall web presence, Logan Miller works with "upward of a dozen" clients on content creation, social media strategies, and SEO strategies. "Managing social media for clients is a lot of fun," he says. "I'm constantly checking in on different accounts, engaging with audiences, monitoring competition, and creating content."
Handling those social media accounts requires deep familiarity with their respective markets and a collaborative client relationship. Miller says, "I do a lot of research to wrap my head around my clients' industries."
In a Day's Work
Miller says there's a high degree of variability in his day-to-day schedule. "I could be writing articles and blogs for a client, managing and curating content for various social media accounts, working on SEO strategies, or making sure there's consistency of images and branding across social platforms."
The variety in Miller's workday is one of the reasons he likes the communications industry. "I love never really knowing exactly what my days are going to look like. I'm not very good at sitting still."
Most Memorable Customer Encounter
"Before gShift, I did some freelance digital marketing and public relations in the country music industry. Engaging with the audiences of top country artists and helping these artists understand how best to communicate with their fans was a lot of fun. Being on the tour buses and seeing how these artists live on the road was a really cool experience."
View From the Desk
"We have an open concept office, so my desk faces my co-worker, and we often catch each other doing the most ridiculous things, usually involving spilled food. From my window, I can see an eight-lane highway."
"I generally love to be outside. Skiing has always been a big thing for me. I've also been referred to as a country music junkie. There are worse things to be called, I suppose."
If Not Econtent, Then What?
"The radio industry is my first love, so I would probably still be in radio. One of my goals as a digital marketer is to find ways to blur the lines between traditional media like radio, television, and print with digital media. That said, when I was growing up, I always wanted to be an architect!"
