The Chicago Tribune and Agate Digital announced the launch of the Chicago Tribune Ebook Collection, a growing library of standalone ebooks created from Tribune news and features stories, columns and photography. The collection runs to gamut from current affairs to biography, from sports to cooking. The ebooks will draw on contemporary material as well as the Tribune's archives.
Agate Digital, an imprint of Evanston-based Agate Publishing, and Tribune have published approximately two dozen ebooks since the partnership began in the spring and expect to complete 50 by the end of 2012. Among the titles are Charlie Trotter, The Best of Mary Schmich, and Capone.
The Chicago Tribune Ebook Collection is available everywhere ebooks are sold, in all major ebook formats, for all prominent reading devices. Most are offered at a base list price of $4.99.
