LexisNexis revealed a new Analytics tool for its LexisNexis PatentOptimizer, which allows attorneys and in-house counsels to identify detailed aspects of entire patent portfolios, hidden trends, and ranked language variations, among other criteria. Legal professionals, LexisNexis reports, will be able to use this tool in order to analyze specific clusters of patent records at a detailed level, and also develop specifically-tailored patent applications.

Canto announced new mobile apps, based on its Cumulus service, for iOS, Android, and BlackBerry mobile devices. The suite of apps, named SuduS, allows Cumulus users to access files, production status updates, and catalogs remotely.

Adobe Systems introduced the new Adobe Acrobat X software family, which includes such products as Acrobat X, Reader X, the Acrobat X suite, and new document exchange services available through Acrobat.com. Dictionary.com both announced a new API Development Center and opened its own API to the public. Developers who make use of Dictionary.com's API will have access to the site's resources and data, including access to related sites such as Thesaurus.com and Reference.com. With the API, developers will be able to allow users to access Dictionary.com definitions within an app, rather than having to launch a browser to visit the site itself.
