If you've been buying your ebooks at Amazon or Apple, you may have some credits coming your way. According to CNN Money, Kindle users who bought ebooks between April 1, 2010 and May 21, 2012 will receive credits ranging from $0.30 to $1.32 per book. Apple did not specify an amount.

Barnes & Nobles consumers should be forgiven if they're more than a little confused by the appearance and then disappearance for Amazon books on their shelves-yes, the actual, physical shelves. Some Amazon titles are being published and distributed by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and they popped up on Barnes & Noble's shelves. But according to paidContent, the books were quickly pulled from shelves when an email was issued asking the local stores to take it down.

Twitter has been on an announcement spree lately. Most recently, Twitter said it would expand the Discover tab. Twitter added the tab last December, billing it as a place where users could go to find tweets that were relevant to them. Now, according to a blog post, "when you visit the Discover tab on twitter.com, you'll see a continuous stream of Tweets, which automatically expand to show you the most relevant stories and most engaging photos."

No on has taken a more hard line stance against search engine indexing of news content that Rupert Murdoch, but some two years after declaring that Google (and other search engines) would no longer be able to crawl News Corps' The Times, paidContent is reporting that the news site will now allow the first two sentences of its articles to be indexed.

RAMP, a next generation search and video experience provider, announced a Series C financing led by New York-based StarVest Partners. As part of the transaction, Deborah Farrington, co-founder and general partner at StarVest will be joining RAMP's board of directors.
